Adopt Minnie!

Minnie needs a good home. She is an active, upbeat girl who loves to chase tennis balls and is always up for a long walk. This one-of-a-kind love bug knows when to be silly and when to settle in for the night. Her sweet side comes out when she's inside, and she'll curl up with you in bed or on the couch, if you let her (but she knows when to behave and stay off the furniture too).

She's the perfect size dog, weighing in at about 35 pounds and coming up to the knee. She's all muscle…and look at those ears (we think this means she's a good listener)!

She is housebroken, neutered, and extremely bright. She knows multiple commands and can learn new ones within days. Her latest tricks: high five (and high ten's!), heel, dance, and stay.

Minnie has high energy when she's outside and loves to romp and run, so she'd probably do best in a house with a fenced-in yard where she can get plenty of play time.

Minnie can get along with some dogs, but has had little socialization, and so a "meet and greet" with new dogs may be required. She is currently being fostered through an animal rescue organization (Homeward Trails, homewardtrails.org), so there is a $250 adoption fee and a home and reference check.

Until now, Minnie has had a rough life, being shuttled from one place to another. It's time that this sweetie finds the forever home she deserves! Please email if you have any questions or would like to arrange a time to meet her. She is currently living in Friendship Heights, Washington, DC, but those living in Maryland and Virginia are welcome to come see her too.

Email adoptminnie@gmail.com with questions or to set up a time to meet her.

Thanks.
